Lisa Adams wants what every other woman wants: The perfect job. The perfect home. The perfect guy. When she receives the opportunity of a lifetime, Lisa has no idea what she’s actually signed up for. Her boss, who is tall, dark and incredibly sexy, starts making advances towards her and she’s having a hard time telling him no. Lisa begins seeing things that are scaring the Hell out of her. Nightmares are leaving her frightened. Then there’s this new guy that’s come into her life. He brings a new light into the darkness that threatens to claim Lisa. He’s mysterious, heartwarming and kind. Not to mention the most beautiful man she’s ever met. But something with him seems to be off. Faced with love, seduction, sacrifice and deceit, Lisa will find herself being pulled in two directions; one pursues her to claim her soul and the other will sacrifice everything to save  her.

( Taken from Chapter 2) One of the stalls opens up and Lisa ventures forward. “Finally.” Stepping inside and closing the door, she thinks of the red eyes she thought she saw. "Maybe I didn't see anything," she whispers to herself. As she’s using the toilet, the girls inside the bathroom quickly begin to leave. The sound of the music fades in and out a few times before Lisa is left alone. Finishing up, she raises a foot to flush the toilet. Then she smells something that makes her wrinkle her nose. It smells like…sulfur? It reminds her of the sulfur springs in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Hearing a growl, Lisa freezes and her heart skips a beat. The pungent sulfur smell grows stronger and she hears the growl again but, this time, it's deeper and closer. Panicking, she stands there frozen, unsure of what to do. Lisa peeks through the crack between the stall door and the lock. On the other side, something steps away from the wall. The image resembles a human-shaped bubble, but the clear substance begins to solidify. The figure starts to shift into a tall, hooded man. She gasps and holds her breath. She can feel her heart beating so hard, it’s flooding her ears. The hood is pulled down far enough to cover his features, providing a shadow over his face. He snarls as he stretches his arms out, cracking his neck. Feeling a force like a wind blow through the bathroom, the first stall door slams open. His low voice growls, "Come out, come out, wherever you are. I know you are in here." He sniffs the air, then snarls, "I can smell you." Lisa gasps. His voice is dark, sadistic. Growls and struggled breathing fill the air. If fear were a language, he was the creator. Lisa begins to shake. Not knowing what else to do, she pulls the pumps off of her feet, then steps on the toilet seat to hide herself. Looking up, she sees a vent in the next stall. That probably wouldn’t help her escape. Looking back down, her heart begins beating faster as panic rises in her chest. She feels the force of wind again as the next stall slams open. Tears begin to form in her eyes. Swiping at them, Lisa dares to peek over the top of the stall to see a black hood covering the man's head. He's tall and carries a thick build. His skin is tan, and his toned chest is thick with muscles and dark chest hair. "Lisa…” he hisses, as a serpent's tongue slips through his lips, tasting her presence in the air. “I know you're in here. Come on out.” He chuckles darkly, the sound low and almost hypnotic. “Let’s play."

Men of Fallen (1)

In all honesty, I was a beta reader for this book, so I received a copy of this book to review. If I tell you that I have since bought my own copy, on release day no less, does that tell you how much I liked it. It wasn't my usual kind of book when I started it and I thought oh well, I will keep reading. These opinions are mine and are honest!

Fallen is the story of Lisa and Alex. You cannot hear the tone of voice when I say Alex but trust me, while he is a wonderful character and a great uhm 'person', he is not my favorite male character. I fall squarely in Team Samuel land. And I don't mind admitting it.

Lisa takes her dream job in an PR firm in NYC. She has a great job and is living the life she wants. For five years, she moves and shakes with the cream of the crop.

And then a series of events, from vivid dreams, strange shadows and messages in the bathroom mirror, and a mysterious run in at a club ladies room, make her think she is losing her mind. Alex is a handsome neighbor who lives in her building. The two start seeing each other and it isn't long before the strange events get stranger.

Not wanting to give too much away, let's just say that Alex isn't necessarily who Lisa thinks he is and Samuel isn't just her boss. What happens between Lisa and Samuel one night sets a set of events in motion that have Alex making the decision of a lifetime.

The old adage appears to be true for Lisa: be careful what you wish for. Equally true is the one about never signing anything before you read it.

Sometimes you get what you wish for and it has consequences beyond your wildest imagination!

I highly recommend this book. It's a paranormal romance. It can get sexy in places but it is an awesome read.

And I know for a fact that the author is working on book 2 of The Fallen Chronicles and this new author just needs to keep on writing!

Lisa: Lisa Adams grew up in New York City and went to college NYU, majoring in public relations. Pi Beta Phi is her sorority who's symbols are Golden Arrows and Angels (coincidence?) Colors are wine & silver blue. After graduation she spent time in PR firms building her career, where she landed in Elite PR & Marketing. As a child she wanted to be a rockette, then a super star singer. Realizing she couldn't carry a tune, she thought it would be fun to go into acting. That is when she discovered public relations and she's never looked back. She had her first boyfriend at age 14. Her first love at 18 when she started college. She unfortunately found him cheating on her with her "best friend". This is when she met Jill. Jill was in the dorm where she found her "ex" boyfriend. Jill took her out for drinks and the two instantly connected

Alex/Archangel Selaphiel: Alex is his human name. Selaphiel was born a man before he became an angel. He was the profit to Elijah. Once he passed on and was accepted into Heaven, Selaphiel became the angel of prayer, eventually becoming the Archangel Selaphiel. He helps people connect to God through prayer, giving them the focus they need to block out distractions and concentrate on praying. Selaphiel motivates people to express their deepest thoughts and feelings to God in prayer, and to listen carefully for God’s responses. In art, Selaphiel is usually depicted in one of two ways. Icons of Selaphiel from the Eastern Orthodox Church show him looking downward with his hands crossed over his chest -- an expression of both the humility and concentration that he encourages people to have when praying to God. Catholic art usually shows Selaphiel holding a water container and two fish, which represents God’s provision through prayer. Typically is aura is red.

Book Blitz: Falling For Him by Anne Conley

After eighteen years of marriage, Amy has finally found a man to talk to, and it’s not her husband. She’s tried everything she can think of to put the umph back into her marriage, but when she meets Cool_Hand_Luke in a movie chat room, he validates her thoughts and opinions in ways her husband seems incapable of. With the holidays fast approaching, my tries to hold herself together for her family, while simultaneously exploring her new online relationship. Will she meet him in real life? Or will she figure out how to save her own marriage? Find out in this Holiday novella from Serendipity, Texas.

Amy knocked on the door before entering and saw him at his computer.  He looked up, and guilt shadowed his features before he clicked his mouse, probably minimizing a screen and turned to her.
"Hey, what's up?"  He asked.
Amy walked over to him, holding out his drink.  "Nothing, I just brought you a drink.  Here."
"Thanks."  He took the offered drink and sipped it, gratefully.  Amy tentatively sat on the recliner facing his computer desk in the corner.
"What are you doing?"  Amy was trying to be conversational, but her tone of voice came off as more whiney than anything, and it disgusted her.
"Nothing.  Just surfing the web.  I don't have time for any of that stuff at work," he said flatly.
Trying to engage Bryan in conversation, she teased, "Any spicy pictures?"
Anger flashed in his eyes, and she immediately regretted her question.  "No.  I'm not looking at porn, Amy."
"I was joking, Bryan. Relax."  She took a sip of her whiskey and set her glass down before walking over behind the stool Bryan was sitting on and rubbing his shoulders.  "You just seem tense lately, that's all.  I was trying to loosen you up."  She stood close to him, as she rubbed his back, running her nails up and down it, before sending her hands back up to his neck to rub there.  She grazed his back with her hips, in an attempt to entice him a little.
"Yeah, work's been rough.  Deadlines and new clients."  He took another sip of his drink and said, "I'm going to join a gym and work out on my lunch break.  That might help some of the stress."
Jealousy and disappointment flashed through Amy, but she snuffed it out, forcing the tendrils of negative emotion down deep in her psyche.  She had suggested that they join a gym several years ago, in an effort to find something for them to do together.  Apparently, he didn’t remember that.  Forcing the hurt from her voice, she said, "That sounds like a good plan."  She rubbed his shoulders for a little while longer, but Bryan seemed to just get tenser.  So she stopped, feeling stupid.
"Well, I'll let you get back to surfing."  She left to go finish the dishes, wondering what exactly he was looking at online.  If not porn, then what?  She wouldn't really care if he was looking at porn, she'd been known to do it a time or two, herself.  She was glad that he was doing something about his stress level, even if it did mean that he wouldn't be coming home for lunch any more, but she couldn't help but feel like he was trying to spend less time with her.  And it hurt.

I raise goats. I raise children. I write. I don't do any of it well, but I try to have fun with all of it. And I read. I'm not too terribly technologically savvy, but I'm working on that. My life is a continual work in progress. And when it gets to be
too much for me (quite frequently, I'm a little embarrassed to say) I read some more.

The Luminara Series by SJ Molloy

'Lussuria',  (Lussuria is Italian for Lust)

An emotional erotic heart-wrenching story of lust, love and light
Alexis Evangeline Robertson is young, insecure and daunted with painful memories from her dark, tortured childhood.  She has rules, and she has boundaries.
She never lets anyone too close.
Lucca Caruso has the most mesmerising crystal azure blue eyes and a heart of gold.  When Lexi meets this Italian God, she doesn’t expect to see him again.
But fate intervenes.
While on vacation at a Villa in Val D'Orcia, near the Chianti hills outside of Florence, she is more than surprised to see Lucca arrive at the very same villa.  Lexi begins a journey of self-discovery, helplessly folding, melting and crumbling to the temptation of her heart’s desire.
After the desires of lust ...
And the sweetness of love ...
Lexi will spread her wings towards the light ...
This is the story of one girl’s destiny to find her light from her sinister, dark and harrowing past and the one man who can take her there.

“I want you to know, you already have my heart, it’s yours, I’m falling in love with you Lexi and I will never have enough of you”.  I close my eyes and hold him tighter than I ever have, I think it might be the security that I need to hear right now, I just hope he means it because I know I am falling for him in a way I never thought was possible, for me.
“I will accept your heart, but I want to give you my heart in return, for you to hold, to keep, to cherish and to fire up every now and again, I mean I will properly date you, I want to be with you”

You are something special, my something special, and I’m not ever letting go of you.  You have just made me the happiest man in the world, your mine now baby.

About The Author

SJ Molloy, first time British Author of ‘The Luminara Series’ was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. As a young child, her family moved and raised her in Lanarkshire, Scotland where she currently resides with her husband, two daughters and her energetic, hyperactive loving gun dog who is utterly spoiled.

SJ is a qualified Fitness Instructor and Health & Fitness Motivator of various fitness styles and disciplines. Music and dance aerobics have always been a pleasure and passion for her. SJ will sporadically make up dance style routines at any hour of the day when a move comes to her or piece of music moves or inspires her.  Currently not teaching classes she is focusing her time into nurturing her yearning passion for creative writing, exchanging one visualization for another.

As a child, SJ loved to write in journals and make up short stories and has a flare for all things creative. With an overactive imagination at times, SJ adores to make notes, visualize scenes and settings to create characterizations.

While on holiday with her family one summer reading book after book, she had a flash of inspiration and has had various ideas whirling around in her mind ever since. It was not until she pulled back on teaching classes that she found the courage, time and insight into actually bringing these ideas to life.

In February 2013 she decided to bring that imagination to light by beginning her writing  journey with ‘Lussuria’ the first installment in ‘The Luminara Series’ available from late October 2013.

Being a self-confessed book junkie, she loves nothing better than to get lost in an emotional and moving book. A true romantic at heart, her guilty pleasure is reading heart-warming, passionate stories and falling in love with her favorite fictional characters.

With five books already mapped out in ‘The Luminara Series’, SJ’s busy creative mind has already planned two more fictitious novels, both stand-alone romance books and very different in their own right.

When she is not writing or reading, spending time with family and friends or exercising and walking her dog, SJ loves all things practical and creative. Dancing, music, cooking, travelling, good food and wine and painting are her favorite past times along with laughter, lots and lots of laughter.

Blog Tour: For The Love of a Cowboy by Sandy Sullivan

Book Blurb:

Paige Tyler didn't want to be the preacher’s daughter anymore. She wanted the freedom to live her own life, do what she wanted and find the man of her dreams. What she didn't expect to find was that man drunk off his ass and needing her assistance to handle three guys wanting to beat him up in a bar fight.

Jacob Young’s life was a mess. Finding solace in a bottle of booze was the answer to his guilt-ridden conscious until an angel in leather pulls him up by his boot straps, brushes him off and convinces him life is worth living.

Do opposites really attract? Can a cowboy with a wounded heart be the answer to her prayers? It’s all in For the Love of a Cowboy

“Hi. I’m Jacob Young.”
“Nice to meet you, Jacob Young.”
“And you are Angel?”
She grinned thinking about the name she’d put on the note she’d left on the nightstand at the motel. “Angel is a nickname. My real name is Paige.”
“Nice name. It fits you.”
“Thanks. My dad thought so I guess.”
Taking off his hat, he twisted the brim in his fingers. “I hoped I’d see you again. I needed to say thank you.”
“For what?”
The girl sitting on the stool next to her left, so he took the seat as she spun around to face him. “Savin’ my ass last week.”
“I didn’t do anything.” She sipped her soda.
“Yeah, you did. My memory is kind of cloudy about the particulars, but you kept those guys from killin’ me and then took me to the motel across the street to keep me from drivin’.”
“You remember quite a bit then, Jacob.”
“Where did you learn to fight?”
“Tae-Kwon-Do lessons for way too many years.”
“Ah.” He glanced at her glass as she drained it, then signaled for the bartender. “Another of whatever the lady is drinkin’ and Coke for me.”
“Two Cokes, comin’ up.”
“You aren’t drinking tonight, Jacob?”
He dropped his gaze to his hands, slipped his hat back on his head and then looked at her. “No. Funny really. After the trouble last week, I haven’t had a drop since. I have you to thank for that too, I guess.”
“Listen. I’m not sure what got you drinking so heavy in the first place and I hope what happened last week opened your eyes, but I didn’t do anything.”
“Yeah, you did. You showed me how destructive my life had become over something I really didn’t have a lot of control over.” He reached over to squeeze her fingers.
Goose bumps rose on her arm, making her frown. She’d never had a reaction like that over a man’s touch before. Calluses scraped against her skin. He worked for a living apparently.
“Sorry. I didn’t mean to be forward.”
“It’s okay.” She sipped her drink. “What got the fight started last week anyway, if I might ask?”
“Somethin’ stupid, really. I challenged them to some pool for money thinkin’ I could win back what I’d lost at darts, but I was too drunk to even shoot the cue.”
She thought about the puke on his shirt and grimaced. “Yeah, you were pretty drunk.”
“Unfortunately, I’ve been more or less in the same condition for the last several months.”
“Too bad.”
“Yeah, but I think things are turnin’ around. Like I said, I haven’t had a drink in a week.”
“Great. I’m glad.”
“The best thing is, I don’t want one. I’ve been in this bar every night since last week waitin’ for you to show up and it hasn’t bothered me not to drink. I’ve watched others actin’ really stupid and I realize now how senseless the whole ritual is.” He drank half his drink and then set the glass back down. “You don’t drink when you come in here?”
“No. I lost my mother to a drunk driver seceral years ago so I refuse to drink and drive. If I drink, I bring a driver with me, but since I’m on a bike, it’s hard to bring someone who can ride.”
“What kind of bike?”

“Harley Softail.”

Sandy Sullivan is a romance author, who, when not writing, spends her time with her husband Shaun on their farm in middle Tennessee. She loves to ride her horses, play with their dogs and relax on the porch, enjoying the rolling hills of her home south of Nashville. County music is a passion of hers and she loves to listen to it while she writes.

She is an avid reader of romance novels and enjoys reading Nora Roberts, Jude Deveraux and Susan Wiggs. Finding new authors and delving into something different helps feed the need for literature. A registered nurse by education, she loves to help people and spread the enjoyment of romance to those around her with her novels. She loves cowboys so you'll find many of her novels have sexy men in tight jeans and cowboy boots.

Contact the Author:

The author sent me a copy for my honest review. And to be fair about it, I did volunteer for this one. Because I have read the first two and loved them, I was anxious to read the third. I love this entire family. I hope the author writes about all of the brothers, personally.

We all knew Jacob was drinking and drinking badly from book 2. We find out why in "For the love of a Cowboy". His drinking catches up with him in the form of a bar fight and the lovely Paige saves his ass. She takes care of him and keeps him off the road in his drunken state.

Paige has secrets of her own and is walking a fine line between who she really is and who she wants to be. This story follows the trials and tribulations of walking that line and realizing that sometimes who you really want to be is the battle worth fighting.

I loved this book and the glimpses we get of the family- including the brothers from books 1 and 2. I highly recommend the entire series!
